Generative AI can help students work faster and produce better answers—but this does not necessarily mean that they learn more. In this webinar, Carsten Bergenholtz will draw on his own research and recent studies by others to discuss what we know about working with GenAI: when it can improve performance, and when it might support or undermine learning.
He will then turn to the practical question: What should we actually tell students about how to use GenAI? Drawing on the updated Learn GenAI online module and a workshop being developed for first-semester business students, Carsten will discuss how these insights can be translated into concrete guidance and learning activities. He will consider both how GenAI can be introduced to new students and how we should think about its role throughout their studies.
